Cobalt Blue Kintsugi Bowl

This blue trinket bowl was broken and repaired using kintsugi, the Japanese art of mending pottery with gold. The cracks aren't hidden. They are highlighted to bring to light beauty in scars and the potential for healing to make us resilient and strong.

The cracks are real. The repair is done by hand, every line traced with a brass metal blend that creates a gold effect finish nearly identical to real gold. Photos don't do it justice, you'll see.
