This Japanese turquoise Kintsugi cup was broken and has been lovingly repaired using a family-developed, proprietary modern Kintsugi technique which has been honed and perfected over years. The dish was mended with a brass-based metal that creates a stunning gold effect almost identical to real gold at a far more affordable price point.
Kintsugi in Japanese means "golden joinery" or "to patch with gold". This technique celebrates the history of the item and transforms broken vessels into renewed works of art. Each package includes a card with a short explanation about Kintsugi's meaning.
